Rumor on a new model for original Galaxy Tab

Engadget.com says that there are rumors that the original Samsung Galaxy Tab may be coming out with an 8.9 inch screen by this summer.  Truthfully, unless this tablet has Android 3.0 what would be the benefit of it besides portability? I feel that if they do not integrate Honeycomb into this tablet that it will definitely flop.  However, if they go put Honeycomb and Android 3.0 it definitely has some potential.

Engadget.com just reported that Apple just released some very exciting news.  They will be announcing new Macbook Pros this Thursday, which is exciting in itself.  Apple has also announced that on March 2, there will be an event held to welcome the Ipad 2 into the Apple family.

Tablet Trouble

It was just announced that the anticipated Xoom tablet from Motorola will not be shipping with Flash support on its release date.  I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of angry customer when they find out about this.  It is anticipated that sometime in Spring of this year that flash will become available.

Tablet Wars

The recently announced Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has a 10.1 inch touch screen, rear camera with 8MP and a 2 MP front facing camera.  It is using Android 3.0 which is the same OS that the Xoom is planning on using.  I feel that this tablet is going to be successful, especially after the very successful Galaxy Tab.  According to Engadget.com, this particular tablet has the potential to give the Ipad 2 a run for its money.
If you are the type of person who is looking for a more portable tablet, a new 7 inch tablet called the Flyer was released from HTC.  What is unique about this tablet is that it is going back to the days of Pocket Pc's.  It has a stylus that can be used to make taking notes easier and to help edit/annotate books and pictures.  Although this may seem like HTC is taking a step backwards, Engadget.com claims that we should expect to see more tablets similar to this one in the upcoming months.  More info will be posted when I find out about it.

Welcome

Welcome to my first blog.  I plan on using this blog solely for the course that I am currently enrolled in and to possibly blog about new technological advances that I read about on a daily basis.  The reasoning behind the theme I have going on in this blog is because I am into gaming, and new news on technology.  The reasoning for the news headlines being on there is because I know that I am supposed to be up on political things like that, but lets face it being a student I have little free time to read up on these topics.  Also, I originally had more games on here than I currently do and felt that it was distracting from the point of the blog.
Connective writing is the concept of using different forms of media to share information with others.  In the case of the blog this is exactly what I'm hoping to accomplish.  Keep people informed about new advances in technological items.
